Dear Teacher: PDF Print E-mail
It is my pleasure to announce that the I Korean Studies Workshop for International School Educators in Korea will be held from September 2007 through April 2008 at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center. The Workshop is being organized by the Korea Foundation with the support of PDK-Korea.

The Korea Foundation, a non-profit organization, has been promoting Korea's image in the global community through various academic and cultural programs. One of the programs is a Workshop for educators from different countries of the world. Currently, eight workshops for educators from different countries are being held by the Foundation. We are especially pleased to be holding this Workshop for the educators in Seoul for the first time.

This first workshop, designed for international school educators in Korea, provides them with lectures, cultural events, Korean home-visits, and meetings with Korean educators and students. Lectures given in English by prominent university professors and other experts will include interesting aspects of Korean history, society, contemporary culture, economy, education, and politics of Korea. Each lecture will be followed by on-site or related activities which will complement the theoretical presentation of the lecture. Also, the necessary books, resources, and materials will be provided.

This workshop will be carried out in the form of a monthly lecture series so that three lectures will be held on every third Saturday in September, October and November in 2007, with the remaining three lectures to be held in early 2008, namely February, March and April.

If you are interested in participating in this workshop, please fill out the application form enclosed herewith and return to:
