As the end of the school year approaches, we would like to invite you to our last general meeting of 2008. It will be a great occasion for sharing, exchanging ideas, and this time, recognizing the TEACHER OF THE YEAR 2008.

Founded in 1906, PDK has served more than 500,000 members in communities all over the world. For almost 2 decades in Korea, we have strived to prepare the next generation of educators as well as to serve practicing teachers, administrators, college educators, and all those involved with education through a wide range of innovative initiatives based on visionary leadership, relevant research, and dedicated service.

Being the only internationally recognized professional educators’ association in the country, today, we have members from most all the international schools, universities and educational institutions in South Korea, and we are looking forward to increasing our membership, extending it to more professors, future educators, and community at large. Therefore, we wish your institution could also send your faculty members, and select a building representative to promote our activities, and be able to work as a liaison between our PDK local chapter and your organization. The new board of directors will be very pleased to see anyone from your institution at our various events.

Our upcoming general meeting will be held on

May 29th, 2008 (Thursday) at Yongsan U.S. Army Base in Seoul

(Hartell House) at 6:30 p.m.

Due to restricted access to the U.S. Army Base, we would need your school roster to be sent ASAP so that the paper work can be promptly processed. Please, send your institution’s roster/employees list now to help us expediting the base passes – even if none of your faculty/staff member may participate. Make sure to include full name, nationality, and passport/Korean ID numbers.

PDK in Korea is a great provider of connection for all educators, and we hope you can also be part of our family.
