Congratulations to Sandee Crowther, |

The polls are closed, the votes have been counted, and PDK is excited to announce Sandee Crowther as our new President-elect. Sandee will serve in this position for the next two years at which time she will become the President of the PDK International Board. As President-elect, Sandee will represent PDK at various functions around the country and in other nations and will continue to help set policy and direction for the organization as a member of the board. In response to the news of her election, Sandee exclaimed, “PDK is such an important part of my life; I am so pleased to have this opportunity to serve.”

Curriculum dogfight turns vicious |

Conflicts over the Education Ministry’s plan for a new curriculum for use in elementary, middle and high schools are escalating. Eighteen researchers at the Korea Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation sent a letter to Education Minister Kim Shil-il on Saturday, arguing that the ministry has neglected the institute’s plan for the music curriculum. |
